HOW TO COLLECT BEE VENOM
We can collect bee venom from early April to late September (in Northern Hemisphere), as this is the best period for collecting. Also, a collector can be set when the hive has a 6-8 frames of brood because, at that time, bee colonies have a sufficient number of young bees. The bee has the most venom on the 17th day of age.
Panels could be placed on the hive entrance, on the bottom board, on the frames, or instead of the frames inside the hive. Each of these positions has positive and negative sides.
To collect the venom, we can use two ways of collecting: Firstly, you can collect the venom every 3-4 days at the same beehive. Place the panel on the entrance of the hive and turn the Bee V Collector ON. Leave it for 50-60 minutes, then turn it OFF for about 25 minutes, and again turn it ON for 50-60 minutes.
Another way is to collect every 10 days. In that case, the collector remains ON for 3 hours.
After collecting bee venom, take off the panel and scrape off bee venom.

Scraping bee venom from the panel
With a scalpel or razor blade, bee venom is scraped from the panel. Through the process, a beekeeper has to wear a regular breathing mask.
The amount of collected bee venom depends on the strength of the bee colony, the number of bees, their age, and the method of collecting bee venom.
Per one collecting, you can get from 0.32 g to 0.85 g of bee venom per hive.
